Legal Process Outsourcing is a kind of high value added BPO service involving legal work that industry vendors or in-house departments of organizations outsource from off-shore areas where it is costly to perform.There is a slight difference in meaning between the terms “outsourcing” and “offshoring”; however, in this blog, both are used interchangeably.

Services rendered under the head of legal process outsourcing may involve high qualitative tasks or low skilled quantitative tasks, which essentially provide support for the former. The former would include work relating to IPR (patent application, registration of trademark and copyright), legal research, document review, contracting and related services. The latter includes legal memo develovment, document management, corporate secretarial services, legal coding, data entry, image and document coding, indexing and tagging, legal transcription,archiving,deposition and testimony,summarization etc.
